After one year of reflecting on my own APM recruiting journey, six months of working on APM Map, and ten weeks of writing this newsletter, it’s surreal that it’s all coming to an end.

In our final issue, I want to talk about one of my favorite topics: care 🌿 .

Wherever you are in your recruiting journey, I want today’s newsletter to be a reminder to care for yourself, for others, and for the world around you. This journey we’ve been on together has been amazing — but it hasn’t been without its challenges. Take a moment today to rest up, because your next journey is always right around the corner.

💡 Mima’s Philosophy

Take care of yourself. It’s been hard this year, period. To have done APM recruiting on top of all of this is absolutely incredible. Whether you need a bath after a long day of interviews, or if you’re looking to upskill yourself for your new job, remember to take care yourself — whatever that looks like for you.
Take care of others. Chances are, you’ve been grinding away at mock interviews these past couple of months, and you’ve met some great people along the way. Reach out and cheer them on — whether they have an upcoming interview or just landed an offer — and stay connected! Your current mock partners could be your future friends.
Take care of the world around you. When I first started APM Map, it came from a place of struggle. I had a brutal experience with APM recruiting, and knew that I wasn’t alone. So, six months later, I started building APM Map to what it is today. You have the power to build the change you want to see in the world. This is your invitation to do just that.

- Want to improve your PM skills? Check out Lenny’s Newsletter - one of the best newsletters out there on tech, product, entrepreneurship, and so much more. Lenny recently did a private Zoom Q&A for our APM Map Mentors, and it was fantastic. You can sign up for his newsletter — either the free or paid version — here!
- Want to learn how to manage your $$ in your first job out of college? Jeff (co-creator of APM Map) is writing about navigating life as a first-gen college graduate in his newsletter, Second Gen. This is a great resource for anyone who wants to learn about managing your $$ (esp. if you’re a first-gen/FLI student) and understanding the complexities of wealth.

- Want to stay connected with your current mock partners? Follow them on Twitter, and/or add them on LinkedIn! In 3-5 years, the person you mocked with that one time might be working on something really cool you want to collaborate on. Or maybe you’ll both be in the same city, and are planning on meeting up for boba — who knows? Half of the APM Map Mentors team are people that I did mock interviews with … and this past Thursday, we had a private event with the Lenny Rachitsky.
